Burnin Eights is the collaboration of two high school friends, both who thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and producing quality video. With the goal to share their on camera successes and failures with others, they set out to film and put together collections of short videos with new and creative views. No guides. No high fences. Just their own hard work and sweat. The end goal: immersive outdoor entertainment for viewers like you.

A couple weeks back, Jake and I logged some hours chucking baits on some big water in Minnesota and we both got into some great musky action during the three day trip! This beauty ate Jake's bucktail during the retrieve, but we also experienced some great boatside action while on the water. The boatside cameras were working overtime on day two of our trip! It's always fun when they're eating at your feet! Hope all of you have been putting fish in the net this season! - Ross

WOW! Another Wisconsin Musky Expo is in the books! Last weekend, we were once again blown away by the amazing support of our fans and viewers! Thank you so much to all those that stopped by our booth to talk, share their positive feedback, and support Burnin Eights! Over the last eight years, we've released over 200 videos, and your support and kind words have been the fuel that kept us BURNIN through all the long hours of filming and editing our outdoor adventures! We can't thank you guys enough for watching our videos and supporting us!! With the busyness of life, our video uploads have definitely slowed down over the last year plus, but there's no doubt our fans and viewers have stuck with us and we truly appreciate that! We'll try our hardest to get you guys a few more video uploads this year! Thank you to everyone, both near and far, that watches our videos and has supported Burnin Eights over the years! Kick off another work week with some Burnin Eights! We just uploaded a new YouTube video that includes some interviews with a few of the vendors that were at the 2024 Wisconsin Musky Expo. We talk glide baits, rods, and rubber baits in this episode. Plus, all the vendors that we talked with in this video will be back again at the 2025 Wisconsin Musky Expo happening this weekend (details below)! It's been a while since we last posted, but we wanted to share something new with you guys! We're excited to announce that we'll now have Conklyn Lures Pedigrees available in our custom colors: Flowage Flame and Burnt Perch! We absolutely love how these turned out! Mike Conklyn is a super talented painter and no doubt nailed the paint jobs! These will be in our booth at the Wisconsin Musky Expo in March in Rothschild, WI and hitting our website soon after. The Pedigree from Conklyn Lures is a sweet running glide bait and a big fish producer!

Introducing the next generation of Burnin Eights! Many of you have no doubt been wondering where we went this season and where our videos have been, so we figured it was time for an update! Over the last year and a half, new additions have arrived for each of our families. We have been extremely blessed by these Burnin Eights babies that have recently entered our lives! The new additions have been keeping us quite busy, but we are definitely enjoying this new phase of life. The outdoor entertainment from Burnin Eights may have gone idle, but we’re still getting out on the water and in the woods as much as time allows. We’ll try and kick out some new content whenever we can! The other weekend, we finally had a chance to get all the new additions together and managed to snap a picture of them all upright at the same moment. 😄 So without further ado, here’s some more details on the little ones pictured in this post (from left to right): Charlotte & Sawyer Tappe (Jake & Shelly), Lainey Tappe (Alex & Jess), and Jace Provost (Ross & Rachel).
