In an effort to ensure student safety, we have some new policies regarding parking.
PHS now provides security surveillance of all parking lots, daily checks by our SROs, and newly paved parking lots and access roads. These new policies will ensure all drivers are properly insured and legally allowed to operate a motor vehicle.
All students who drive a vehicle on school property will be required to purchase an annual parking tag at the cost of $20.00 through GOFAN.

Please help us in welcoming our newest addition to Poteau FFA!

James Marshall is a Career Agricultural Education Instructor with 16 years experience in LeFlore County, building diverse and active programs in leadership, mechanics, public speaking, shooting sports, and livestock with multiple National 3-star designations before becoming a Poteau Pirate. Mr. Marshall has two children (10 and 18 months) and is married to Katie (Odom) from Cameron in 2020, a Poteau High School Alumni. He has family ties to the area, his mother being a graduate of Bokoshe High School and family still in the Bokoshe area farming cattle and forage as well as poultry production for OK Foods for many years. Mr. Marshall is a graduate of EOSC (Associates), Oklahoma State University (Bachelors), and Southern Nazarene University (Masters) and a member of Cameron Community Church. He grew up on a small family farm in Holly Creek/Oak Hill community near Idabel raising cattle and sheep following his family owning a swine production unit with Tyson Foods until 1998 and four generations of educators in the Idabel/Broken Bow area. They continue the family farming traditions on the family farm in Bokoshe.

We are extremely thankful to have Mr. Marshall and family!

🏅Congratulations to Chani Lloyd for passing the Clinical Medical Assistant certification. She was required to perform clinical duties while displaying professionalism and applying communication skills. Chani provided patient instructions all while using legal, ethical, and confidentiality concepts. Chani is a graduate of Kiamichi Tech's Health Careers Education - Medical Assistant program and Poteau Public Schools. 🏅Congratulations to Keelyn Grayson for passing the Long-Term Care Nurse Aide and Home Health Care Nurse Aide certifications. She is a graduate of Kiamichi Tech's Health Careers Education - Nurse Aide program and a student at Poteau Public Schools. James Davis, Grant Thomas, Kamrin Williams, and Justin Steelman spent the last four days honing their musical chops at the UAFS Jazz and Rock Camp! The concert was amazing and a great reminder of the musical talent we have here in Poteau, OK! Great job Pirates!

The PHS Pom Squad earned a national bid following their outstanding performance at the NDA camp this week. This significant achievement is a testament to the hard work and talent of our squad members.

In addition to securing a national bid, six of our talented dancers received All-American nominations. Out of these six nominees, two members stood out even further making the All-American team.
