BLACK EAGLE TRUST is a one-man project from the United States, which published its first release a few months ago on limited to 100 copies tape, a two-song demo titled "MMXX". The gentleman behind this project is still active in the Doom/Death Metal band OLD YEAR, and just like the above band, this band cannot boast of much publishing achievements either, because at the moment only a single appears in their official discography. But it need to start somewhere.
We are going back to BLACK EAGLE TRUST. Two songs, less than 10 minutes of music. It might seem that this is too short a time to draw any conclusions, but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Already after the first song, one can assume that there may be some deeper idea or concept here. Disturbing, hypnotizing sounds in Dark Ambient atmospheres introduce the listener to the actual ritual, which begins from the first seconds of the second composition. Raw, poisonous and aggressive Black Metal begins to burst from the speakers like flames of torches illuminating the entire scenery, and after two minutes of such an attack it changes back into an ambient, dark monolith, which ends the whole release. It's a pity that there are no lyrics in the insert, because I wonder what the guy behind it all is shouting about in the second track. I associate this demo with some of Lovecraft's stories, but that's just my subjective opinion.
So little and so much. I really like this demo, it makes me hungry for a longer release with the same atmosphere as here. Yes, yes, Mr. Robert Taylor Roark, I want more of it. Please keep this in mind.
