Native Wildlings Native Wildlings, quite simply, is a virtual shelf of children's books that should be a part of every child's growing up years, whether in full or part.

Native Wildlings is a carefully selected, and critically examined collection of great children’s literature oriented towards cultivating culture, social consciousness, and empathy in children aged 2 - 9 years. Quite simply, it is an online bookshelf of titles that should be a part of every child's growing up years, whether in full or part. Of late, we heard a lot of our friends complain about thei

r children picking up violence, abusive language, and stereotypes from books and shows supposedly meant for children. Indeed there is substantial research to show that children subconsciously are greatly influenced by what they read and what they watch. So we decided to be a little more conscious about what we expose our children to. And thus Native Wildlings was born to highlight all the wonderful stories out there that promote prosocial values - empathy, friendship, sense of equality and justice, courage, creativity… you get the drift. After all, it is our kids who will actively create the world of tomorrow. A world where patriarchy, casteism, racism, and inequality does not exist. A world free of conflict and war, a world in which there is humanity and respect for dignity of all life. A world in which our children and their children deserve to live.

Pic 2 - Slightly matured bits of said mushroom. Texture on the underside is begging to harden
Pic 3 - mycelial takeover of same dead tree.

My best guess is this is Ganoderma or a related variety. Don't you love how the fungas seems to be mimicking the tree? Working with it instead of against it.
