IR founders Corey Friedman and William R. Toler reunited at the N.C. Press Association's annual awards ceremony. Friedman is executive editor for Restoration NewsMedia overseeing multiple publications and Toler is managing editor of the Richmond Observer. Toler earned six individual awards this year, including two for sports photography. Friedman did not enter this year but has won his share in his 20-year career as a journalist.
