Tradition that evolves but never loses its spirit! That’s Sicily in a nutshell.
My friends from Prizzi who make the beautiful Prizium olive oil I’m importing also make Hippana beer. They are celebrating the Day of the devil which has been an Easter tradition in Prizzi for generations. The whole town gets in in the act! Many visit this tiny town to watch this craziness!
You don’t have to be a believer to enjoy the show.

In Sicily the local folklore is well represented by the "dance of devils" that every year takes place in the town of Prizzi, in the province of Palermo.

I have cooked One Million Stringbeans

My first episode of one million stringbeans (yes stringbeans as one word, like my inventory sheets). I'm flying solo this episode. I chat about the closing of New World Home Cooking, give an overview of Bob Dylan's new Heaven's Door whiskey line, cover a news article about fast food and infertility and then lay out a recipe for Zucchini Noodles with shrimp and ramp pesto. I am working on getting a a new podcast up at least biweekly, then once a week as my life allow. I will be featuring guests from the Hudson Valley, Albany area and beyond.

I'm excited to be using tastes of my music from my personal archives and from my son Terry King's metal bands throughout the podcast. Enjoy. Give feedback. Share with friends.
