Thanks to the TELUS Fund we were able to tell the amazing stories with Spirit of Birth, 2025

On Women’s Equality Day, we celebrate the Indigenous women working to reclaim critical cultural practices.

The Spirit of Birth follows Anishinabe mothers, as they restore the Indigenous birthing practices silenced for generations by colonization and residential schools.

Today, Indigenous midwives across Canada are reclaiming sacred roles as leaders and nation builders, committed to protecting the most precious gifts of our communities: our children.
