My journey in audio began when I recorded my band as a teenager. Since then I've produced, mixed and mastered numerous projects from all over the world. I know that the search for the right engineer can be daunting. There are so many out there and choosing the right person to produce, mix or master your music can be the difference in taking it to the next level and I WILL help you get there. As a

musician and songwriter myself, I understand how close to the heart an artist's music is to them. My job is help the artist achieve THEIR vision for THEIR music. I've had the privilege to join my clients on their musical journeys, and would love to join yours too!

I'm seeing so many people recording instruments with multi microphone setups and not paying attention to correct polarity. Polarity is extremely important in both stereo and mono listening environments. Incorrect methods of recording can results in weak, undefined and even poor sounding recordings. Even recording something like an acoustic guitar with one microphone and then duplicating the track, panning left and right and dragging one of the regions a little bit to create a stereo image, if done incorrectly, can create polarity issues. And by the way, if your end product is being released with audible polarity issues, you need to start thinking about hiring a new audio engineer

My remote office last night, recording baby grand that sounds AMAZING with the incredible for s new song.

7 mic setup - inside c2000 + ksm44, pov shure beta 58a + an original shure unidyne 57, that still sounds absolutely fantastic, under the piano was a psm 3, room miking done with reference mic and .berlin u87 in figure 8. Recorded through an cq12t mixer/interface into .protools . Sounds... WOW!

My go to 🎙️ is usually a Neumann u87, but for this song I'm producing right now, I felt like tracking acoustic guitar with my trusty old ksm-44. It really sounds amazing, especially considering how much cheaper than the Neumann it is. If you're in the market for a great and cost effective large diaphragm condenser microphone, I highly recommend Shure. They make more than just amazing dynamic mics... 😉
