"ISO: Beige room to use as an office scene for a short film."

Caleb and Joel spent hours looking for the right office location around town for a crucial scene in a narrative video project we are working on. We figured there were dozens of offices that would fit the bill. After finding a couple options and even securing one location close by, we realized that what we wanted to do with the scene required a custom set build in our studio.

This 12' x 12' room was built in a single day by our team using pre-fabricated 4' x 10' wall panels ("flats") and was furnished via local secondhand shops. Building the room without a ceiling and without adjoining rooms/hallways gives us the ability to place lights and camera wherever we want.

The coolest part? We built a custom "sunset" light rig behind the window to mimic the path and color temperature of the sun from afternoon to dusk to night.

After the state advertising awards, our best video work competes in the region (ND, SD, MN) against million-dollar budgets and massive agencies.

For the first time ever, we won two GOLD awards at the AAF District 8 competition this year, as well as two SILVER awards. We are proud to represent the state of North Dakota as the only video company who was recognized at the district level.

This teaser video we produced for Bobcat Company was another one of the winners this year at the AAF North Dakota award show:

As for the machine, it is an all-electric, cabless prototype with a completely redesigned central lift arm. Controlling the Rogue X2 is accomplished through the MaxControl app on iPhone. There are also plans for autonomous applications.

Keenan and Caleb hosted the Junior Chamber of Commerce last week for a studio tour and some industry chat. These high schoolers had a ton of great questions and we always enjoy having guests at the Factory!

Last year, BIO Girls trusted us to create another short film telling a unique story around the self-esteem of adolescent girls in our state. We were proud to bring that story to life through video and grateful that it won the top award "Best of Show" at this year's AAF North Dakota awards show.

Last year we predicted the future by dressing as cowboys and cowgirl for the ADDYs. So we're definitely ready for round two this year. Look out for more tassles tonight! 🤠
