2026.
Working at sea has taught me one very important lesson: loving the ocean is not optional it is a responsibility.
Part of my job onboard is to constantly remind the crew about proper garbage segregation and the real impact of marine pollution. We see it firsthand. We know how garbage slowly kills marine life and destroys the wide ocean. And yet, it keeps happening.
Today, I want to say thank you to the LGU zs and landowners for this beautiful beach. As a visitor, I am truly grateful that we still have places like this where families and friends can relax, breathe, and enjoy nature. This beach may be new. There may be no garbage bins yet. But that should never be an excuse for its visitors.
What makes me sad and honestly upset is seeing trash left behind in a place that gives us so much.
To the visitors If there is no bin, bring your trash home.
If you brought it with you, you are responsible for it.
Working onboard a ship has shaped my mindset. It taught me discipline. It taught me respect not just for the ocean, but for communities and places we visit. We must respect them.
We must help protect them. We must make sure we leave nothing behind except memories.
This is a wake-up call.
Marine pollution is not someone else’s problem.
It is OUR responsibility.
If we truly love the ocean, then let’s start acting like it before it’s too late.
To the LGU and Land Owners please advice the Visitors to make sure to bring their trash back if they can’t dispose it properly. Ang ganda po ng beach ninyo❤️ i love it, as its my first time visiting this place. may mga visitors lang po kayo na dinadala ang ugaling bahay sa ibang lugar💔
Still, i love this beach❤️ never get tired of coming back! See you soon Gapas Gapas beach!
