That's my book, After the Rains, displayed in Daunt Books Hampstead in 2011. What a Journey it was to get it there!

Da da da da da daaaaah! News for writers who have finished their work and are looking to publish well - or think they have (do you hear that dastardy cackle? - I jest - sort of). And news of a space opening up on one of my courses for a writer who has work, and wants to progress it, or who is starting on a new writing work - of any genre or type.

I will be hosting a video conference on the editing process and what this actually is - topics will include:

- Have you said what you set out to say?
- Have you said it well?
- Have you really finished the work? - how do you know?
- What is developmental editing? Copy editing? Proofreading?
- Is this work ready for an agent or publisher?
-It will be next Thursday evening at 7 pm, UK time, £12.00 - likely a small group as I'm only just advertising it now, so there will be lots of time for questions!

Also, one student on my level 3 writing course (Journeying to your Writing Goal, Saturday 14 February, 11.30 UK time) has had to drop out for work development on Saturday mornings, so there is space available. It's suitable for people that are moving into wanting to finish a longer piece of creative work/collection of short stories/vignettes or poems for instance; or who want to develop further work with an eye to developing excellence. I'm keeping the group at 4 at the moment so lots of time for feedback/interaction.
It's on Saturday mornings at 11 am UK Time - but the time can be a little flexible - and is £37.50 for 4 x 1 hour sessions.

This is the feedback from my student who's leaving the course:
