Just got done modifying the scripts for the Jail Booking feature to adapt it to their new rate limits. Ever wondered how complex our scripts out for getting the information from JailTracker? Well, as of right now, it is just 396 lines of node.js code :). Thought maybe some of our techie viewers out there might appreciate this.

It appears JailTracker, the source of our Jail Booking page, have finally fixed their site. Therefore, the Jail Bookings page is working again. Our scripts have also mined all the data that was missed over the last 1-2 weeks. We know you all missed this based on the endless emails and facebook messages we received :).

Scan Whitley Online is very thankful no innocent civilians or officers were harmed during the incident last night.

We are also pleased that so many people found our live scanner stream useful during the event. We had over 1000 unique users tune in and at one moment hit 677 concurrent listeners, a new record in our 15 years of existence.

To our Allen County friends and others subscribed to Allen County Fire Departments through our Text Me Out service ( https://textmeout.com ):

Allen county is switching from VHF to 800 for their Fire Dispatch at midnight on January 31st. They are also consolidating down their departments to new names/groups. The good news it that Text Me Out is fully prepared for this switch and expects a seamless transition. However, due to the consolidation, you will need to resubscribe to the departments you are interested in.

You may do this now by going to the Text Me Out app->Subscriptions and choosing the new departments for Allen County. At this time all the new departments/names are prefixed with "(800)".

Please stay subscribed to the non-800 departments you are interested in. After January 31st we will automatically unsubscribe those subscribed to the old VHF subscriptions.

Please ask any questions you may have below and we will be glad to answer them.

Update: After almost 17 hours, Surf finally fixed their issue. We are back up!

Whitley county steam is currently offline due to the (weekly) Surf Internet outage....

Praying everyone made it through the storms okay. As for us, our live stream and Text Me Out service for Whitley County went down around 10:30pm due to the massive CC power outages. However, everything is now operational again.

We have also confirmed that all Text Me Out services for Kosciusko, Noble, Allen, and Whitley are functioning properly this morning.
