Congratulations to PRA’s Will Fletcher

Having received an invitation to compete in the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Gorla Minore (ITA), the following team have been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team Audevard UK. The competition takes place between the 23 – 27 April 2025 at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre, Italy.

SENIOR MARKETING EXECUTIVE:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to fulfil the role of Senior Marketing Executive and join Grandstand Media Limited (GML) to lead and implement the digital strategy for Horse of the Year Show and the British Showjumping National Championships, two of the most prestigious equestrian events in the UK. Alongside other supporting equestrian events that the business organises.

��Grandstand Media Limited is a team of specialists with many years’ experience planning, organising and running equine events. Most notably Horse of the Year Show (Birmingham, CSI 3*) which GML has organised since 1997 the event now welcomes over 60,000 visitors in October at the NEC.

The British Showjumping National Championships and Stoneleigh Horse Show was added to the company profile in 2015. Most recent additions to the business profile include The Showing Register and the Showing World Awards.

ROLE PURPOSE�
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, located at the GML offices at Stoneleigh Park. Additionally, during events the applicant will be required, along with the company’s other personnel (at the expense of the company) to be based at the host venue of the event.��

To excel in this role, you will need to be proactive and bring the ability to use data, creativity and market insights to increase brand awareness and convert these into sales.��

You are a strong marketing professional with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, and a genuine interest in equestrian events.

You’re an ambitious and positive team player, with the ability to manage multiple projects and to different marketing elements of the business.

Game-Changing Lineup for Istanbul Warriors Set to Shake Up 2025 GCL Season

Fasten your seatbelts and brace for impact! The Istanbul Warriors powered by Carpe Diem Equestrian Team have entered the 2025 GCL arena with a bold new look and an electrifying roster as the second team of 2025 is announced with Henrik von Eckermann & Simon Delestre joining!

The 2025 season sees the Warriors make some of the biggest moves in GCL history, securing top-tier talent to cement their status as serious title contenders. They don’t follow the game, they are changing it and pushing boundaries to rewrite the script for GCL.

Team owner, manager and rider Efe Siyahi spoke about his new lineup: “I am very excited for the upcoming season with our new team. We have signed new transfers that make us very strong. Having managed to secure the world number one, Henrik von Eckermann, and one of the fastest French riders, Simon Delestre, we are super pleased to have these two fast riders in combination with Abdel. We also have a new U25 bringing the Gold Medallist from the Young Riders, Oliver Fletcher, onto the team. We have extremely strong names and have already started to make our plan for the first half of the season.”

World number one Henrik von Eckermann reiterated Efe’s point explaining: “I am excited for the new season with a new team, we have a strong squad so I am looking forward to getting started and hopefully producing some strong results.”

TODAY’S PRESSURES FACED BY PROFESSIONAL SHOWJUMPERS

We talked to Pro-rider Academy’s Will Fletcher, about the pressures faced by today’s UK-based pro-riders. He currently has a diverse string of horses that are either running at GP level; or firm future prospects jumping very competitively in age classes.

What is the most difficult thing about the business side of keeping 'the show on the road'?

"It’s an easy thing to say but it is the expense of the whole business that is the hardest thing. Put more specifically, it’s the cash flow of running a horse producing business. I own, or at least run, most of my horses by myself which means there’s a lot of cash going out per week. We have to wait for a good sale to go through before the income comes in and you don’t know when that may come."
