Blue Moon W**d 🔵🌙🌼⛅🗡🧝‍♀️

So I caved in to the fantasy genre earlier this year after ages of doing my best to avoid it. Not too long ago, friends told me to give Frieren: Beyond Journey's End a shot. I still haven't finished it but I know it'll be such a memorable ride 😭. I found it so worth it to make an art for the anime just 3 episodes in because it told so much already and I got so invested in their conversations and stories that I can't help but keep on crying. I'm taking my time over it so wish me luck once I get to again 😂.

I decided to make this with a pencil-textured brush and practicing conceptual illustrations in mind 😣. Initially started as a flower study, followed by me wanting to add a background. I got so sentimental to this work that I finished it while only listening to music specific to the show and the subjects alone. I guess I just happened to understand how fine artists operate through this process alone too, dwelling in feelings 😮‍💨. "Anything is possible, HI! HI!"🎶🎸🎤

Earlier this year I had a discussion w/ my pal It's Yapii about our "to do list of artworks" and getting hyped together as we come across similar ideas that we'd like to do, HiHi Puffy AmiYumi being one of them ✨. I'm so happy with how our respective takes looked, hers especially— please check it out!

I decided to base my version off of the real Yumi and Ami, because I'd like to study how cool they look like cosplaying themselves 😂. And the one that only came close from their promo materials was them styled in slightly similar fits, which got me curious whether they can pull the animation fit off. Honestly, I think they did 😅. Would you have preferred otherwise?

Happy New Year btw 🤣! Apparently, all the growth I've gained from this year so far as well as late last year has been connection-centered, and I think I'd like to have more of that. I've been always been just rolling with art anyway, so a change of pace wouldn't hurt 😌. Also, I think this was the longest sorta hiatus I've been on and while there are no plans on getting back to speed anytime soon, I'll have you know I'm still creating. Yooo, we're finally done here, glad to have finished this challenge! I never thought I would've pushed through all of these honestly. I'd like to thank my friends for giving me the push I needed for even hopping on inktober again, you guys know who you are ✨. And of course, I probably wouldn't have made it past the 10th day if it wasn't for Sonic. From the anatomy, style, and overall simplicity, it just makes sense that I would be able to go further and without troubles. I probably have spoiled too much already by the fact that I'm glazing the franchise 😩. I suppose I can't help but live with it now than later, regardless of projects I have to do before this.

Taking the liberty of yapping again regardless of twit being an ass with their character limits, I'll start by saying that I'm grateful for the lessons I've learnt for this one. If I were to revisit traditional art for personal reasons, I'm definitely gonna want to do sumi-e and make my own brush to replicate for future pieces. I sigh on this feeling as if I graduated from this experience alone 🤣. Anyway, this was fun. I'll catch y'all on the next post!
