โTo further strengthen the culture of research and innovation among students, the Pampanga State University โ Mexico Campus Research Management Unit (PMC-RMU) successfully conducted its 7th Degenderized Virtual Student Research Colloquium entitled, โAdvancing Multidisciplinary Research for a Future-Ready Society,โ today, May 21, via Zoom platform.

โThe virtual colloquium gathered student researchers from different academic clusters including Education, Industrial Technology, Hospitality Management, and Information Technology, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence and innovation through research.

โThe program formally commenced with opening remarks delivered by Dr. Mark Jameson E. Perez, emphasizing the importance of research in addressing present-day challenges and fostering development within the academic community.

โMeanwhile, Dr. Robin B. Dimla, Director of the Research Management Office, presented the statement of purpose, highlighting the significance of multidisciplinary research in developing future-ready learners and responsive communities.

โAs part of the plenary session, Christian Zyrus I. Quizon served as the plenary speaker and discussed the topic, โCircumstantial and Request-Based Prompting Techniques in Studentsโ Use of ChatGPT in Higher Education,โ providing valuable insights regarding the responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence in academic settings.

โThe breakout sessions were then conducted simultaneously across the four academic clusters. Dr. Cailvin Reyes served as the reactor for the Education Cluster, while Dr. Harvey Ian Sibug facilitated the Industrial Technology Cluster. Meanwhile, Mr. Joelan Aguilar served as the reactor for the Hospitality Management Cluster, and Engr. Russell John Torres acted as reactor for the Information Technology Cluster. The sessions were also facilitated by assigned moderators from each cluster to ensure smooth academic discussions and presentations.

โOverall, the 7th Student Research Colloquium served as a platform for student researchers to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and research capabilities. More importantly, the event reinforced the universityโs commitment to advancing multidisciplinary research toward a future-ready society.
