Big news for Aotearoa’s publishing future!

The Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ) has officially secured the Whitireia Publishing Course for 2026 — protecting the country’s only full-time, industry-led publishing qualification.

A capped intake of 20 students will join the 2026 cohort, gaining hands-on industry experience, working on real publishing projects, and receiving mentorship from editors, designers, booksellers, and authors.

This move ensures a strong talent pipeline and a vibrant future for the NZ publishing industry.
