It’s been well over a year since we were in Iran, and in many ways a lot has remained the same. The Islamic Regime is still suppressing people’s rights, and trying to stop Christianity from growing. At times, it does feel like momentum was lost and things may never change.
But that’s why we go to the Scriptures and fix our eyes on God’s ways. Take the Book of Ezra, for instance. It seemed like the House of the Lord would never be rebuilt, even after the Persian King Cyrus offered his help.
But God is faithful to fulfill his promises. And if he brought his people out from under their captors, couldn’t he do it again?
May it be so.
