Man Bites Dog Records (MBDR) was born in the shadows of the Nation’s capital, Washington DC in the late 2000’s. The indie startup gained the music world’s attention with a sharp eye for detail and an ear for talent. The mantra of “artist first” has become a guiding light to industry veterans and newcomers alike. MBDR is focused on tailoring an innovative approach to individualize the production for each artist.

The Hashira - from "Ascension" LP from 2024 w/ Chino XL, Copywrite & DJ Hoppa

This song was many years in the making. and myself had spoken about getting Chino on a song for his album "Life and Times" which we started making back in 2007. It happened in late 2023.

Kount Fif had Chino come thru for his album release party along with & - this track was really born from that encounter.

With everything that happened in this last year, I am grateful and thankful that this idea could finally come to fruition. All the artists involved in the song on the cuts ✂️
