We’re closing out Season 4 with Abigail Reeder Photography a Columbus wedding photographer who believes wedding photography is about so much more than taking pretty pictures.

For Abbi, it’s about the moments in between the loud laughs, quiet glances, happy chaos, tiny details, and all the emotions that make a wedding day uniquely yours. Her signature approach? Whimsical. Artful. Love.

With a background in graphic design from The Ohio State University and a love for storytelling shaped by growing up between Ohio, Cambodia, and the Philippines, Abbi brings a unique perspective to the way she photographs people and their biggest moments.

In this episode, we’re talking about the art of wedding photography, creating images that actually feel like you, and why the photographs we take today can become some of the most meaningful pieces of our family history tomorrow.

Sometimes, the sweetest new beginnings come after the hardest seasons.

For Episode 3, we’re sitting down with Ladan Desserts to hear the story behind the woman creating beautiful desserts for some of life’s biggest celebrations.

After leaving an abusive marriage, Ladan was faced with rebuilding her life while also wanting to remain present and intentional as a mother. What came next was more than just starting a business it was the beginning of a new chapter.

Through motherhood, resilience, and a love for creating, Ladan Desserts blossomed. What started from home grew into a dessert business serving cakes, macarons, cupcakes, and custom creations for weddings, birthdays, showers, and other meaningful celebrations.

Her story is a reminder that starting over doesn’t mean starting from nothing. Sometimes, it means taking what you’ve survived, what you love, and what you’re capable of and building something beautiful from it.

This episode is about motherhood, resilience, rebuilding, and finding sweetness on the other side.

LOCAL WOMAN-OWNED | GIRL BOSS CBUS NEWS: OLDE TOWNE EAST IS GETTING A NEW BOOKSTORE!

After more than a decade without a bookstore in the neighborhood, Spotlight Books is bringing a new Black woman-owned children’s bookstore and community space to Olde Towne East.

This marks a new chapter for the neighborhood, adding a dedicated bookstore and another woman-owned business to Columbus’ growing small-business scene.

The neighborhood previously had a bookstore that closed in 2012, making Spotlight Books the first bookstore to return to Olde Towne East in more than a decade. There are currently no other bookstores in the area, making Spotlight Books a unique addition to the community. 📚

We’re excited to see a new chapter of bookstore culture come to Olde Towne East!

We can’t wait to see Spotlight Books open its doors!
