Six years ago we started Open Book Productions with one goal, to provide high-quality, low-cost production services for the artist, independent or those of the Bigger Ilk, helping to bring their ideas and concepts to life. Every project, however small, would be treated like a big project. We would work tirelessly, fearlessly and with innovation to get in done. We launched our first online digital series in 2009. Venice, a novella-like drama. It follows all the crazy. beautiful people in Venice Beach. Moving into it’s fifth and final season, Venice garnered two Emmy Awards and was recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for it’s LGBT Content. It’s also supported by a subscription-based model that has continued to fund multiple seasons. With the help of social media and some very attractive actors, Venice has maintained thousands of loyal audience members and it continues to grow in over 196 countries globally. We’ve since produced The Grove, a short film, and A Million Happy Nows, our first full-length feature, due out this fall. Also, Our OBP fingerprints are all over Beacon Hill, a recent Daytime Emmy Nominee. We’ve produced small venue concerts, live-streamed events and Open Book is currently in pre-production for it’s first half-hour comedy. And while we love our Open Book work, we take great pride in being wives, mothers, sisters, BF’s and delicate palates of interesting, fermented grapes. Our FANS have made this possible…We salute them! Crystal Chappell
