Instagram is rolling out a new update across its platform and this is one you won’t want to miss. Hashtags are being limited to just 3 from the original 30 per post and are no longer a reliable tool to boost reach! 🤯

If you’re not sure which hashtags to use moving forward use this quick guide to help you narrow it down:

1️⃣ Branded Hashtags - Establish a digital footprint for your business

2️⃣ Industry Hashtags - Help people understand what you’re offering so they can connect with you.

Last weekend I saw the opening show of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! The whole show is so colourful, the cast is great and my husband plays the Pharoah (the Elvis vibes are outstanding lol) so that’s a nice feature 😉

With four more shows coming up this weekend, you should get your tickets while you can because they’re selling fast.

There is so much great theatre happening in this city on a regular basis, so consider this your sign to start checking it out! 🌈 🎭

Is it just me or has cold season hit you guys super hard too? 🤧

I’ve been staying home and working from the couch so far this week and it reminded me how difficult it is to take a sick day when you work for yourself 😅

I’m laying down trying to rest and I’ll catch myself thinking “well I could just schedule some content from my phone while I’m doing this” or “maybe I’ll just quickly check my client’s accounts”.

Working from home as a social media marketer makes it very difficult to step away from your to-do list when your phone is always handy.

Does anyone else have this problem too?

Instagram, X and TikTok have actually started phasing out hashtags stating that they're no longer necessary for discovery.

Now that all the social networks we use are taking control of content distribution, their AI-powered algorithms are poised to analyze your posts, captions, bios etc and handle the discovery portion for you as well.

The hashtag was created by the people, FOR the people, so does it concern you that we might lose control of our own discovery processes soon? 🤔
