Monday, oh Monday, you come so fast,
Dragging us from our peaceful weekend past.
With groggy eyes and tired feet,
We stumble to the coffee and take a seat.
The workweek looms before us bright,
Tasks and deadlines, an endless sight.
The weekend feels so far away,
As we start our week on this Monday.
But let us not lose hope or heart,
For Monday is where we make a start.
