Troop 60776 has set a goal to collect 500 packages of cookie donations for Operation Cookies from Home.

Each year, deployed service members all over the world will enjoy their favorite Girl Scout Cookies as a result of Operation Cookies from Home, a program of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. The cookies are shipped to service members as part of the community service component of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

The Allman Brothers Band's rendition of "Statesboro Blues" is regarded as one of the greatest guitar songs of all time, but the original song was recorded by blues pioneer Blind Willie McTell, who was born in 1898 in Thomson, Georgia. Today, on the 63rd anniversary of his death, we're sharing this photo negative of McTell strumming his 12-string guitar in an Atlanta hotel room. The image is from the Lomax Collection catalogued by the Library of Congress.
