After it was deleted because of a conflict that erupted in the thread, members continued to try to keep the essence of the thread alive by organizing such things as the Mass Email. Eventually the idea grew, and even spread to other forums. Over the course of a number of months we became more serious about becoming a movement, and established our own home on the internet. While the idea of WMB remains controversial, as people begin to understand that we’re not just messing around and have given the concept a lot of thought, we are quickly becoming recognized and even celebrated around the Zelda fanbase.

Even now, one of my favorite memories from within the Zelda fan community was when I watched that 2008 marathon stream of theirs. Nintendo Treehouse spent virtually the entire afternoon today playing upcoming Switch and 3DS content, including Breath of the Wild's first DLC pack. Throughout the stream, they show off the latest additions to Link's wardrobe -- from Midna's Helmet to Majora's Mask -- as well as a closer look at the Cave of Ordeals-inspired Trial of the Sword. E3 2017 is finally upon us! During this morning's Nintendo Spotlight, the big N shed more light on the two DLC packs heading to Breath of the Wild. Although it was revealed more than a month ago, the first pack -- The Master Trials -- now has a firm release date of June 30. Additionally, this holiday's story DLC was unveiled as The Champions' Ballad. Head past the jump for the full announcement!

Nintendo just unveiled the specifics of Breath of the Wild's first DLC pack. Set to release this summer, this initial wave of content includes a Cave of Ordeals-inspired trial, Hard Mode, and eight pieces of armor inspired by previous Zelda titles. Majora's Mask and a Tingle outfit are enticing enough, but the inclusion of Midna'a helmet -- hair and all! -- just has me over the moon. [ 60 more words ]
