I am standing firm in faith today, knowing that God continues to provide for every single one of my needs. Time and again He has proven that He is with me—in and through all things. 💖

To every friend, family member, and neighbor who has come alongside me in this season—you’ve been the hands and feet of Jesus. From meals delivered, to groceries dropped off, to your financial, emotional, and spiritual support—you’ve each been a living reminder of God’s love and presence. I am thankful for every single occasion where I’ve seen Him working through you to make Himself known.

It does my heart so much good to see what happens when we come together in unity and agree to walk with one another. On Monday, I will walk through the doors at Progressive Medical, confident that everything I need will be provided. 🙏 I can’t wait to share that place with you all and show you what God is doing.

This is an unpaid leave of absence, and yet, I believe God for every single hour of compensation I am unable to earn. He is my Provider, and my biggest comeback is already in motion.

My Dearest Friends,

I want to share something deeply personal with you. After much prayer and careful thought, I have decided to take a major step for my health. I will be spending three weeks in Atlanta undergoing functional and alternative medical treatment at Progressive Medical Center. This is not a decision I made lightly, but one I believe is necessary to give my body the jumpstart it needs.

Although my doctors say I am in medical remission, it is only because I continue chemotherapy. Unfortunately, my body has begun to decline, reaching dangerous levels that could soon prevent me from being able to continue with treatment. I feel this is the right time to take this leap of faith and pursue additional care to strengthen and stabilize my health.

This journey comes with challenges. It requires me to take an unpaid leave from my job, and I will also have expenses for lodging and living while I am in Atlanta. I am humbly asking if you might be able to help me cover some of these costs. I am still needing around $4,000 to cover this treatment cost. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much. If you’re unable to give financially, please know that your prayers, encouragement, and love are equally precious and deeply appreciated.

Thank you for walking beside me during this season. Your support gives me the courage to keep going and the strength to trust God’s plan for my life.

I had a good day today, with a few ups and downs along the way. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. I can’t even tell you what a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders by the generosity of my community—and even from kind strangers I’ve never met. God is so good to me.

As September approaches, I’m asking for your continued prayers. I’ll be entering an in-residence treatment program for three weeks, Monday through Friday, up to six hours a day. I’ve been slowly setting aside the money I need to cover my expenses so I can take this time away from work and focus fully on healing.

For those who are able to give, thank you. For those who give through prayers, encouragement, or other gifts, thank you just as much. I honestly don’t know how else to express my gratitude except through my words—and by continuing to show the love of Jesus to others. Because of your help, I can keep doing just that.

Nicholson, known from radio, television, and stage, both longtime veterans of broadcast media, took us back in time with treasures from days gone by. They showcased old yard hand tools, a kettle, and even an iron once heated with ashes—reminders of simpler times and the hard work of those who came before us.

Together, they lift their voices in simple congregational singing for a couple of timeless hymns “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Blessed Assurance.”

Billy and Kathy also included a heartfelt prayer for all those impacted by the recent storms across the Outer Banks and Georgia, standing on the promise of Isaiah 41:10: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

All I can say today is this—my life is in God’s hands, and truly, that’s where it’s always been. The numbers still don’t add up, but I refuse to lose hope. I’m casting my cares on Him, because He cares for me.

My medical team says I’m officially in “remission,” but only because of ongoing treatments. That means I must continue receiving treatment from now on. It’s not the news I wanted, but it’s the reality I face.

Here’s the clincher… in order to continue chemo, my body needs the support it’s getting from my alternative physicians. That care is what’s keeping my immune system strong enough to fight. So that’s where I’m at—still fighting for my life and needing my community more than ever.

If you feel led, I would be deeply grateful for your help—whether that’s through giving, praying, or sharing my need with others who might be able to help. Every bit of support matters more than you know.
