OUR SERVICES
Girlie Action specializes in vertically integrated marketing for musicians and other artists and entertainment-based products. The core of our work is Public Relations, which involves national and local media outreach across all media platforms (print, broadcast, web). Our PR services include:

• securing features, reviews, previews, tour news and other news-related stories covering our clients’ new releases, tours, and other live events and creative endeavors.
• booking live TV performance appearances
• distributing digital assets (promotional MP3s, video streams, “listening parties” etc.) on hundreds of websites and blogs
• creating “phased” campaigns that can be scaled over time, reflecting the unique needs of each client

In addition to PR, Girlie Action also offers a variety of other strategic marketing services, including:

• video promotions (web, broadcast, cable, in-store)
• in-store audio programming (a.k.a. “overhead” programming)
• creating branded marketing opportunities in collaboration with some of our brand partners
• DJ servicing and nightlife promotions
• servicing music and products to music supervisors, ad agencies, and other taste makers and cultural gate-keepers
• culturally relevant branding and consultation

JUST ANNOUNCED → New studio album “Na Dem” arriving November 6 from globally acclaimed Afrobeat singer, songwriter, and activist Seun Kuti (Seun Kuti) and his legendary orchestra Egypt 80 (Seun Kuti and Fela's Egypt 80 Band).

Alongside the announcement, Kuti and Egypt 80 released the new single “DJB”, one of the most powerful and introspective tracks from the upcoming album.

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 will be playing two special shows in the US this fall: “My Life in Movement” on October 9th in Los Angeles at The Regent Theater and October 14th in New York at Webster Hall. Tickets are on sale now.

OUT NOW → New single + video “Owl Lit” from Catskills-based composer, songwriter, and sound artist Matthew O’Neill (Matthew O'Neill). “Owl Lit” is the latest preview of O’Neill’s upcoming album, “Through to Us”, set for release October 16 via his nonprofit label, Panther Mountain.

OUT NOW → New music video for “Cellini’s Halo” from Southern California’s indie-folk artist Jack Larkin (Jack Larkin). Featured on Larkin’s new album, “Purkinje Shift”, “Cellini’s Halo” is an intimate meditation on the aftermath of manipulation.

NEW THIS WEEK ➡️ On the 37th anniversary of the release of his movie debut and classic comedy “UHF”, “Weird Al” Yankovic (“Weird Al” Yankovic) announced that the film’s official score soundtrack by Grammy-winner and Tony-nominee composer John Du Prez is now available to the public for the first time. The premium 2-disc vinyl set is now open exclusively for a 3-week pre-order window at weirdal.com.
