Pretenders II is the second studio album by British-American rock band the Pretenders, it was released August 15, 1981. It peaked at #7 on the UK Albums Chart and #10 on the Billboard 200, and has been certified a gold record for sales by the RIAA. It is the final album by the original line-up, as the following year bassist Pete Farndon was dismissed and guitarist James Honeyman-Scott died in the same week. Farndon died in 1983, and a new line-up would make the band's next album, Learning to Crawl.

Eddie Van Halen's Number One Kramer is expected to sell for up to $3,000,000 when it goes up for auction later this year.

Built in the early 1980s, it famously featured during Van Halen’s iconic Kramer ad, and – as confirmed to Guitar World by Chris Gill, EVH expert and author of Eruption: Conversations with Eddie Van Halen – was played for a handful of shows in 1982 and 1983.

It later found its way to Mick Mars, who used it while recording Dr. Feelgood with Mötley Crüe.

Sotheby’s is expecting it to sell for anywhere between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000, which would make it one of the most expensive guitars to ever sell at auction.
