Start running. Do not look back. You’ve already decided what you need to do, but you’re hesitating. Why?

You only have one life. You’re running out of time. You’ve already run through every scenario in your head, and deep down you know what you need to do.

So run. Do it now. No one’s going to do it for you. Trust yourself. Everything you want is on the other side.

You’re not alone. You’re a beautiful, amazing human- capable of such remarkable change and growth.

The fact that you can feel so much is incredible.

I pray that in your darkest moments, even when you can’t find the silver lining while you’re in the middle of it, you know deep down that you will.

That life is happening for you, not to you. That every difficult thing you go through is meant to challenge you, strengthen you, and grow you.

Keep your head up. No storm lasts forever. Seasons change, and so do circumstances. Even if it doesn’t feel like it- you’re doing a beautiful job being perfectly human. ❤️

This felt like a living nightmare. Like a horror film- but it was happening in my own home.

The week before this, I had gone through an awful break up and found out the guy I was dating was cheating on me and stealing from me. Then, four days before this break-in, I had gotten out of the hospital after having a heart attack and being diagnosed with stage two heart failure.

I still thank God every day that my daughters and I weren’t home when he broke in.

This was the hardest season of my life and put me in so much debt that I could barely breathe. But I had to keep my head above water for my girls.

In part 2, I do a walk-through of all the damage he caused. Police said they think he was in there for at least three hours rummaging through every single drawer, cabinet, and room in my house. I had to throw away every single thing he touched because of the blood.
