Lucio Fulci’s zombie movie of many names turns 46 today! how do you refer to this splatter masterpiece? i call it ZOMBIE, but other official titles include ZOMBI 2, ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS, and WOODOO 🧟

in issue 43, Fangoria sent their editor to the set of George A. Romero’s DAY OF THE DEAD with the task of becoming one of the undead by makeup fx master Tom Savini… 40 years later, i got the chance to repeat a sick moment in horror history 🤘🏽

Tina Romero’s QUEENS OF THE DEAD is on the rise, and we’re all about to have a huge f**kin’ party!! i spent hours in makeup chairs, joined the horde on set, and spoke to some incredible people attached to this big gay project. this is a huge win for intersectionality in horror and i feel proud and honored to help capture its story 💖

training with pros. i’m tryna be goated by september 19th, okayyyy 😩🏈

i’ve seen the first 45 minutes of HIM from director Justin Tipping and my thoughts are going straight into my notebook, because i don’t think y’all have recovered from SINNERS fast enough. EYEEEE wasn’t ready 🙂‍↔️

i will tell you the tenacity and desperation from the performances of Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers is synced the f**k up with Tipping’s direction and musical cues (it’s Monkeypaw Productions, like, HELLO) i’ll also tell you that the comfort and community-feel of the cast and crew off set is a very good sign for their finished product

i don’t know a damn thing about football, but i do know a damn thing about horror. this is gonna be something. thank you Universal Pictures & HIM Movie for getting a sista on the field to investigate. i still need more practice, though 😩

spent my SDCC friday with friends and family of da best streaming app. they ripped the founders day celebration right out of the movie (which you can watch on the app starting august 8th) and stuck it downtown for the CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD comic con experience 🌽
the BOLD VOICE OF CONTEMPORARY HORROR PANEL was awesome. packed room, super insightful spread of panelists and a handful of sneak peeks on what's coming to shudder next. we bout to eattttttuh
hayyyyy i met (writer of M3GAN, THE NUN II) after the panel!!! she's so rad. should've brought my copy of MALIGNANT for her to sign, but she got a kick out of my tattoo lol 🫶🏽 another day another lil' scary somethin'

big birthday whoop to the most metal of all streaming services, 🥀📼
yeah, it’s only right to celebrate with friends, f**ked up movies & a friday the 13th tattoo 😩 i decided on a demon biker from MANDY ( is so awesome!!), but the decision was hard lol
after that we sat through a late night double feature of the adams family’s HELLBENDER and coralie fargeat’s REVENGE presented by i adored the discussion between caryn, sam, zelda and john in between screenings 🫶🏽
pound for pound, shudder’s the home to a good chunk of my favorites catalogue. independent genre is always on top for me- ‘preciate shudder for bringing the heavy s**t to the front, and for taking care of me too
