Hello everyone
My girlfriend 😭😭😭
So me n my person have been together for just 7 months now n m noticing this trend in her that starts to irritate me, don't get me wrong I love her so much but...
She has a tendency of eating everything until it finishes, like when we go to buy grocery, when we come back she won't rest until every item is opened and she took something from it, no matter how much food we can eat when we are out when we come back she will always go up n down to n from the fridge n kitchen without rest, in the past 6 months I managed to tolerate this behavior n actually accepted it as her (imperfect) side as we all do have those nasty tendencies but...
This weekend I took her to meet my family for the first time. I was always scared at the back of my mind that what if she now exhibits some of her imperfect character when at home n indeed my worst nightmare came to pass on Saturday night, u see we passed by the mall to buy some goodies for my family, m working a well paying job n my family is also very stable so money is not that much of a thing for me n my family "class" is.
After doing the grocery we got home n unpacked "everything" form the garage, n I went to show her my room where she will be sleeping, my mother cooked a nice dinner n late at night when we were in my room, jikijiki she draws a plastic bag below the bed 😢🥺 there I m surprised, how did this plastic bag get in here n when I check the contents is chocolates n nice stuff that she normally loves n I buy when we are in our apartment.
At home mom is very strict that we only eat in the kitchen, but okay I ignored her, she opened the plastic n ate while we were speaking, we even had s*x after she went down to the kitchen 😢🥺not even asking me if she can go grab something in the fridge, n she came back with a pack of danones 🥺😢 at home danones are for kids to be included in their lunch boxes when going to school. I just didn't want noise n to offend her I kept quiet n she finished the whole pack of 6 in less than an hour, mind u she already finished those goodies she bought. I ignored her n slept but my heart was just broken n my soul down coz of her tendencies.
In the morning when I woke up, I found out that she has already went down to boil some eggs (she loves boiled eggs) ate them n now busy with a pack of lays chips, by that time it is still 7am. Mom came around 8 to call us for breakfast, we got there n she ateeee ateee and ateeee.
My family is full of love n they didn't see anything wrong when she was eating too much but I felt so embarrassed coz she ate 8 slies of bread, 6 home baked biscuits, I don't know how many times did she dig into the pot that had eggs n bacon n other things 🥺😢
After the breakfast we went to our room, n she picked four biscuits n also a can of coke from the fridge to take to our room , mind u it is still her first time at home, already opening fridges without requesting, I was scared mom was gonna say "no food in the rooms please" coz she did this infornt of everyone but mom kept quiet n just said "I see u like my biscuits, please let me know if u want more, I can bake for u when u leave". I at least felt relieved.
Later on, I leave her in the room to go n sit with mom in our garden just helping here n there, it was around 12 then when busy there, mom tells me that actually there is a tile that's erupting from the floor she wants me to see it in the bathroom n fix it,
We move from the garden to the house, the entrance is facing the kitchen, when we enter, we find my gf standing on the fridge chewing a polony 😢🥺 by that time she is eating it from the plastic, holding it in her hands, she notices us n just put it back n continue to take a can of coke, for sho it was a 10th can since the morning. I felt so embarrassed before mom. I felt so hurt n didn't know what to say, gf went upstairs to the room. Mom just nodded her head n said "wow what a gf u have hey, I like her energy", I was so disappointed, mom just went to the fridge, took a knife n cut out that polony where she chew to make it even. N after she went with me to the bathroom, I was like dead inside. I didn't even know what to do or say.
Afterwards we even left, I didn't want more drama, before we left she "reminded" mom about the biscuits n even said "how about I take the ones u have already baked and u will bake again for the family" oh gooood 😢🥺 n is not like we are starving, yes mom agreed n actually never said anything bad to me but I felt so disappointed.
When we got to our apartment, I confronted her n she said it is not like she killed a person. She didn't see any problem at all n has no remorse, she has been eating moms biscuits left, right n Centre, the whole 20L bucket is halfway, I didn't even eat them coz I don't have appetite, now she wants my moms number to call her n ask her to bake for her when she goes home. M so disappointed, I love my lady, n please don't get me wrong, I don't MIND about the food, I even give her my credit card she eats as she wants but I just feel like this behavior is too much, n when I confront her she doesn't see any problems.
What should I do people, please advice, I don't want to hurt her but she is hurting me on a daily basis, I remember one day I went to a lunch with her at my friend's place, we got there and she started eating while my friends gf was dishing for us, she would open the containers n grab something n eat, now m even scared to accept any lunch invites, my whole family we are people who believe in "decency" n we always have lunches n parties where there is food but this one I can't, this lady will be the death of me, like every step m scared of what she would do next when we are out.
Btw, she isn't fat, she is 61kg (27 y/o) n m 83kg (30y/o),
