Happy Captive Magazine is a publication dedicated to the creativity behind the story. Show us the beautiful process that brings about your narrative.

Happy Captive Magazine is a literary publication run by a team of undergraduate students at Miami University. Our staff is dedicated to finding the best writing and art that Miami students have to offer and sharing it with the rest of campus. We print every spring and recruit new members every fall, while hosting other events throughout the school year. Look for us around campus for one of our volumes or check out or website if you have work to submit!

Guys we are so thrilled to announce Volume 6 is printed and it looks amazing!

Due to quarantine standards, look out for distribution of physical copies next fall during Mega Fair, English Fair Activities, as well as our tabling events at Armstrong throughout the year for your very own copy! (For contributors this may differ).

Once again we want to thank our contributors, staff, advisors, and all our readers and supporters for their enthusiasm, dedication, and perseverance toward this spring’s volume. We are so proud of this final product, and can not wait to share it with you in person!
