Meet Bibi Pritam Kaur Ji, the Kaur voice at . While her words continue to ring strong, her actions remind us what it means to be a Singhni, a Kaur.

Bibi Pritam Kaur Ji refused to leave Darbar Sahib during the Indian Army's invasion in June 1984. Her 18 day old newborn was shot and killed while being strapped to her body. She is the wife of Shaheed Bhai Rashpal Singh Ji, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale's PA, who was also killed in front of her while fighting off invaders.

Meet Hawa Abdi: One of 's first female gynaecologists, she opened a self-funded small clinic for women and children on her family farm in 1983. When the Somalian civil war began in 1991, "Mama Hawa" started housing her employees on her land, feeding them and caring for them. Soon others came seeking shelter and she welcomed them all. Today, her land houses 90,000+ refugees, most of whom are displaced women and children.
