MAN IMPREGNATES BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER AGED 16 IN KALUMBILA

A thirty seven ( 37 ) year old male of Kalumbila district in northwestern province has impregnated his own biological daughter in Kalumbila district.
Lusa Mulomba aged 16 of Kisasa area has been sexually abused and impregnated by her biological father David Mulomba aged 37, a business man of Kisasa area in Kalumbila district.
According to a statement released by chief police officer for northwestern province Brighton Siwale to Prime Television Zambia,
Idah Luwi aged 35 years of Tom Ilunga area, Mwinilunga District, reported on behalf of her biological daughter Lusa Mulomba aged 16 of Kisasa area that she has been sexually abused and impregnated by her biological father David Mulomba aged 37, a business man of Kisasa area.
Brief facts are that the mother and father to the victim divorced in 2011 and the victim Lusa Mulomba was left in the custody of her father David Mulomba who later re-married Thelma Kashimoto aged 25 also of Kisasa village area in 2022.
Mr Siwale further said that on un unknown date and time but in 2023, when the victim was 14 years old, her father followed her into her bedroom and sexually abused her, saying he wanted to see if she could give birth and threatened to kill her if she disclosed what transpired. This went on over a period of time until she eventually fell pregnant. Noticing that she was pregnant, her father gave her some traditional medicine which resulted into the termination of the pregnancy. He however continued sexually abusing her.
On 1st August, 2025 about 15:00 hours, the victim was home alone with her father when he again sexually abused her and went to the market. He went back home at around 21:00 hours in a drunken state. He knocked on the door of the house,Lusa Mulomba opened the door, whilst the current wife was asleep. He angrily shouted at the victim for delaying to open the door and even assaulted her before he went to sleep.
This prompted the victim to ran away from home and travelled to her biological mother's place in Mwinilunga where she disclosed what has been transpiring over the years and that she suspected to be pregnant. She was then taken to the clinic by her mother where it was confirmed that she was 7 weeks pregnant.
Police have apprehended David Mulomba,the suspect and is currently detained in Police custody for the offence of In**st.
