Sorry this is way late. Been a busy week and I had to jet out of the studio Sunday to get to David Lowery's in-store at Seasick Records. Had the best time having Lowery in the studio to discuss his new autobiography on wax, "Fathers, Sons and Brothers." I've been raving about the brilliance of this album for months, spinning multiple songs from it and reveling in the incredibly well done narrative style of songwriting on the album. It's was a privilege to have him in the studio to discuss the album, songs, the music business, his college professor gig at UGA and his 40 plus year career in music as a co-founder of Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker and as a solo artist. Lowery is a fascinating human with a highly insightful view of the music business. Do yourself a huge favor and get to know the songs on Fathers, Sons and Brothers. It's definitely gonna be one of my top releases of the year. Oh, and Lowery said that a majority of his musical income comes from the sale of his physical product so pick of an actual copy of the record if you can.
