I won’t say anything hyperbolic like UCR wouldn’t exist without Walter Rossmann & Imprint Indie Printing, Inc., but that company is more than just a place where we hire them to print our jackets, inserts, posters, masks of Aaron Danger Sainz, etc. Walt is/was our long distance friend and business partner in a way. We’ve done over 100 releases and I can count on one hand the vinyl projects that they weren’t involved in printing when we needed pro printing done and not some half assed DIY option. Walt always humored us idiot label people when we went to him with whichever of our crazy ideas was new at the time and would walk us through it and make it happen. Dude was the best.

Rest in Power, my friend. I’m glad that your battle with cancer is over. Thoughts to the Rossmann family and the rest of the Imprint crew.

Imprint is deeply saddened to announce Walter passed suddenly last night after a year long battle with cancer. Walter co-founded Imprint in 1994, and his dedication to the industry is known far and wide. Walter, we love you and will miss you!

Hey friends, I feel this hardly needs to be said aloud but the US Postal Service is a critical part of countless small businesses across the country, ours included. Especially now, when so many have had to pivot to becoming mail-order services during Covid in order to survive.

Keep in mind that the GOP is trying to dismantle it and discredit their service in the interest of privatization. We ship out our orders almost daily and the Postmaster General under the president is deliberately slowing down services. Thank you for your continued patience awaiting your mail orders.

Hey friends, just helping spread the word that Stardumb Records has a new pressing of The Methadones' amazing Career Objective LP out now. Stardumb has been putting out amazing records since 2000, they're based in the Netherlands so this should give any of our European friends easier access (hopefully) for mailorder throughout the EU. They were releasing this to coincide with a planned reunions shows in Italy and Germany, but...Covid-19 happened. Today was supposed to be a BIG day! Surrounded by heaps of friends, I was gonna celebrate 20 years of Stardumb Records in Bergamo, Italy at my favorite festival Punk Rock Raduno. We were gonna have a great line-up tonight with Geoff Palmer, Lucy and the Rats, LONE WOLF, Huntingtons... and none other than The Methadones headlining! What a brilliant party it would be!

Things went slightly different though…

Some of you in or close to Italy will be in Bergamo this weekend for a great get-together after all (have fun!!!), and the rest of us... We are longingly looking forward to 2021.

BUT! To make today exciting anyway, I’ll be starting pre-orders for not one but two new releases! And I’m very proud to say that one of them is the reissue of the classic 2003 album ‘Career Objective’ by The Methadones. It’s safe to say the CD is one of my favorite Stardumb releases and it’s a big deal to me to present it to you on green or black vinyl this time around, in a fancy gatefold sleeve, including two bonus tracks, and remastered by Mass Giorgini! Whoop!

US pre-orders are available from The Machine Shop. The album will be out early September.

(And as said, I’ve got another announcement coming up in a bit! Hope you’ll dig!)
