First game of the night here at Jumpertown we have HWByers and Ashland. At the half Ashland is winning 35-23.

This is probably one of our favorite pictures we took, I believe it is from 2016. Ashland's Deanthony Tipler who recently announced he is transferring to the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley. He has hit over 200 college 3's in his career shooting over 40%.

Hickory Flat takes 1-0 lead over West Union in their first ever trip to third round of softball playoffs.
The Lady Rebels of Hickory Flat jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of their third round matchup against West Union and never looked back, holding on for a 3-1 win on Wednesday.
Abby Tatum doubled in the first, a high pop up from Jolee Young fell in right field, then Malia Matthews drove in Tatum on a groundout to 2nd base. Young scored on a throwing error and the 2 run proved enough for the Lady Rebels to secure the win.
Matthews would provide an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th with a laser beam double over the left fielders head scoring Abby Tatum who opened the inning with a single.
Young was masterful on the mound, scattering 4 hits and striking out 7. She has not allowed an earned run at home in these playoffs and held the Lady Eagles in check.
"Jolee has been great for us all year. She came through big again tonight," Hickory Flat Kody Joyner said after the game.
"We know West Union is going to come back in Game 2 and give us their best shot," Joyner added.
Game 2 is set for West Union on Thursday. Game 3, if needed, will be back at Hickory Flat.
