Pawcatuck certainly lost one of its finest this past Saturday at the age of 95. Many remember Charlie Shea for handing out Ticonderoga pencils at Halloween, making hot dogs on the sidewalk during town parades in his signature pink hat, or his quick Irish wit and humor. Others will remember him for staying as competitive as possible in a small town office supply business while larger chains decimated local stores all the way until 2005. You’ll be missed, Charlie.
