A Brooklyn native, she has served with distinction across numerous commands, earning multiple qualifications, degrees, and awards, including seven Navy Commendation Medals and nine Navy Good Conduct Medals. Throughout her journey, her children and her mother have been her greatest inspiration and driving force. Well done, Master Chief Elliott!

Congrats to Judge Steven D. Bond on becoming a judge for the 8th Judicial District General District Court in Hampton, Virginia!

In Virginia, general district court judges are elected by the Virginia General Assembly to serve six-year terms. As a judge, the individual is responsible for ensuring fair and impartial application of the law, managing court proceedings, and making rulings or judgments on the cases that come before the court.

CDR Letwa Billey, from Brooklyn, NY, has served the Navy since 1999. Starting as an Information System Technician, she quickly rose through the ranks, holding key leadership roles on various naval vessels. Now, as Director of Training for AFLOAT TRAINING GROUP, ATLANTIC, she oversees crucial training for Atlantic Fleet ships.

Her dedication is recognized with numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal. CDR Billey is married to Gavin Billey and is a proud mother of two sons. Congratulations on your outstanding service!

She transitioned from education to a dynamic career spanning insurance, benefit analysis, and healthcare administration. Her leadership at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Ohio and later as Executive Director of Med Plan (now part of United Healthcare) marked significant contributions to healthcare. Notably, her efforts with the Portsmouth Community Health Center led to expansions and recognition for her commitment to equitable healthcare access. Despite retirement, Barbara continues to champion this cause, ensuring her impactful legacy endures.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with the city of Hampton to spotlight Hopeful Hampton’s initiatives combating youth violence. This documentary illustrates the effectiveness of the programs, leading to decreased violence rates. Additionally, this project aids in securing additional funding to sustain and expand these vital resources.

Hopeful Hampton takes a three-pronged approach: prevention, intervention, and enforcement. Most underlying issues that create criminality are the result of issues in the home. It’s crucial to reach these young individuals early to discover the root of the problem and hopefully guide them through that tough patch.

These past six years have been an extraordinary journey, and I'm deeply thankful to God for guiding me through it. Initially focused on creating lasting memories with wedding videography, we've since evolved to aid corporate clients in enhancing their marketing strategies with video, photography, and drone footage. Our core objective, both then and now, remains unchanged: to help individuals and businesses effectively highlight their offerings and skills through compelling imagery.
