Many a year ago, back when Big Punch Studios was but a dream, we attended a little comic con that punched WAY above its weight, in the form of Melksham Comic Con, masterminded by the brilliant

Hayley and her team of Brians (you had to be there) welcomed us into their arms, making us feel like part of the family and treating us, frankly, like rockstars. Given how hard it is to make an impact in indie comics, being made to feel so special, despite our lack of fame or fortune, meant the world. We presented our first panel here, rubbed shoulders with some of the loveliest people imaginable, and for a magical weekend each year lived the comic con dream in the heart of Wiltshire.

Wonderful to return after so long to celebrate Hayley and Kathy's special birthdays and catch up with so many old friends.

Following the recent announcement that Jon and Nich have sold the rights to ⚡TINY HERCULES⚡, a new children's graphic novel series, to Macmillan Children's Books, it's probably time to unveil their new headshots.

A massive thank you to James Horrell at Au Fait Photography for making them look so professional in post (it's amazing what you can edit in and out these days).

🚨ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!🚨

We're delighted to announce that Jon and Nich have signed a published deal with Macmillan Children's Books to produce TINY HERCULES, a new comic series featuring the world's tiniest, mightiest hero!

Written by Jon and illustrated by Nich, TINY HERCULES books 1 and 2 launch in 2026, with books 3 and 4 hitting bookshelves in 2027.

It's been a rollercoaster of a year for Jon and Nich following a fateful, chance encounter at MCM comic con. A massive thank you to Lucy and Ali, our friends and family, the amazing editorial team at Macmillan, and our agent Rachel for making this possible.

Featuring art by the legendary Rich Elson and letters by Simon Bowland, Antumnos follows Agents Hob and Sharpe of HERNE, a government agency tasked with exploring the strange and unknown, as they follow four lost hikers into the depth of Wales - with terrifying consequences.
