🤱Happy World Breastfeeding Week 2025 💕
This year’s theme is “Prioritise Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems”—and it really hits home.
To mark the week, I’ve created a little series of hand-drawn seamless tiles that celebrate the beautiful (and sometimes messy) reality of breastfeeding. Each one is a quiet nod to the strength, softness, and connection that breastfeeding can hold.
Whether you breastfed for a moment, a month, or many years—you did something incredible. And if you wanted to but couldn’t, you are just as worthy. 💗
WBW is about highlighting how we can actually support each other better. Because the truth is, so many women who want to breastfeed don’t get to meet their goals—not because they didn’t try hard enough, but because support wasn’t there when they needed it most. You can’t fail at breastfeeding. But the system can fail you. And when your journey doesn’t look the way you hoped, it’s the people around you who can make the difference between shame and peace.
On a personal note—I recently hit 1,500 days of breastfeeding with my boys, and im nearly at 1000 of tandem feed (and counting!) 😵💫🥰
I’m quietly hoping we’ll reach 2,000 before weans. It's been wild, exhausting, beautiful, and everything in between.
If breastfeeding has been part of your story—I'd love to hear about it. How long did you breastfeed? What helped you? What do you wish you'd had more of?
👇 Share your journey below or tag someone who supported you along the way. Let’s lift each other up this week. 🫶
