The instinctive reaction to AI colliding with weapons of mass destruction is one of dread. And while this is justified, there are also perhaps less obvious positive effects that this new technology might have on global efforts to prevent the use of and to counteract these horrible weapons. In this brief report, I walk through some of the downs, but also the ups, of Artificial Intelligence, specifically as it relates to biological weapons and bioterrorism.
