VM23 is complete. I'm working on the final subs list now. If you're reading this and changed shipping address recently... now might be a good time to DM me otherwise your magazine is going to be delivered to someone else.

I put up a post on my own FB page the other day announcing my retirement from magazine editing and design work. I should immediately say this is not happening any time soon. I'm closing this chapter on my life with issue 30, which is a little over a year and a half away. Hopefully, this will give time to find someone willing to take on the magazine or, better still, a team who can manage it between them. I will help with the transition wherever I can.

So, with several editions of VolksMania still to produce I'd better keep busy. I've been working in the magazine industry for 32 years now (my wife reminded me of that!), so it's only fair to my body and soul (and to my wife) that I call it a day in 2027.

Deciding to finish my stint at the helm with VolksMania issue 30 seemed the best decision - it's a nice round number. Finishing on #25 is simply too close. I'll be almost 63 years young when VM30 lands, and my wife and I plan to take a long break, maybe a bit of travelling around Europe, as well as tending to a collection of vintage VDubs and a few house chores. Sounds really boring.... ;)

OK, this is turning into a life story that's gone on for too long.

Enjoy the magazine. VM23 is due to be with the printer on the 9th of July. :) :) I'm starting VM24 next and if you're looking to get a picture or pictures of your VW into the issue please reach out to me. That's what I'm here for. :)
