Hop in, weirdos, we're doing spreadsheets!
Wasteland Weekend XV was definitely one for the history books, so here's some data to write about!
The following statistics start at the midnight line-up before the event, and end when we turned the transmitter off, early Sunday afternoon.
We played 666 unique pieces of music a total of 1,557 times.
First track played: Doris Day - Secret Love
Last track played: Frankie Lymon - Why Do Fools Fall In Love
Most played track, with 7 plays:
Metallica - Wherever I May Roam
Most played Fallout tracks, tied at 4 plays:
Georgia Gibbs - If I Knew You Were Comin' I'd've Baked A Cake
Guy Mitchell - Heartaches by the Numbers
Big Maybelle - Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On
As always, boo that the most played tracks ended up being ones that have been on Wasteland Radio for a long time. So here's some stats about new music we brought this year!
First of all, we added an entirely new segment of music for Wake Up Wasteland, with calmer old crooner ballads. We also brought an updated "Fallout Party" selection for the Friday Formal period. As always, we also added plenty of new music for Armageddon Time, and some new bits for Nuclear Winter. On total, we added 201 tracks, adding up to 9 hours, 25 minutes, and 13 seconds of new music. Did you have a favorite?
A huge thank you to the WCC Broadcast Service, a Division of the Wasteland Communication Corporation, for hosting our facility and providing the power, water, food, and everything else we need to do what we do.
And especially thank you to everybody who sent in requests, announcements, notes, gifts, or just tuned in to listen this year. Without you, sitting in a metal box for almost the entire event would feel really stupid.
