🚨 NEW EPISODE – IN THE SHED EP 68 🚨

This week Mick and Chris go straight at the mining lobby, anti-union propaganda and the billionaires trying to convince workers they should be grateful for scraps.

We break down what is really happening in the Pilbara as ETU members organise at BHP and Rio Tinto, why protected industrial action is completely legal, and why the bosses are terrified of workers standing together.

We take apart the rubbish being pushed by Basil Zempilas and the mining lobby, explain what a union actually is, and why every worker has the right to fight for decent wages, fair classifications and living standards that keep up with the cost of living.

Then we move onto gas exports and ask the obvious question:

How is Australia one of the richest countries in the world, exporting billions of dollars of gas, while ordinary people are struggling to pay for housing, healthcare and groceries?

We talk David Pocock, Richard Denniss, why Australia is giving away its natural resources for next to nothing, and why the political class seems terrified of making giant gas companies pay their fair share.

This one is fiery, angry and full of receipts.

🔥 Why bosses hate unions
🔥 Why workers in mining deserve the same rights as everyone else
🔥 The truth about “wrecking the economy”
🔥 How Australia is choosing to stay poor while billionaires get richer
🔥 Why the country needs to stop being scared of the mining and gas lobby

Listen now, share it around, and if your workmates are sick of going backwards while billionaires cash in, send this episode to them.

Could be one of the hardest posts of the year so far!

Edit:

In our last episode we talked about propaganda and how we are all susceptible to it. This post is a prime example of that.

This post that has been going around about the “MAGA preacher running a m**h lab to bring on the apocalypse.”

It’s not real. It’s satire that’s been shared as fact.

But here’s the more important point — this is exactly how propaganda works.

Not just right-wing propaganda. All of it.

It’s designed to hit your bias. To make you feel that little rush of “of course they would do that”. That moment where it confirms everything you already think about a group… and you hit share without checking.

That’s the trap.

Because once we start sharing things just because they feel true, we’re no better than the people we criticise for doing the exact same thing.

And that’s how misinformation spreads — not just through bad actors, but through everyday people who mean well but get caught in the moment.

If we actually care about truth, credibility, and winning arguments — especially in the union movement and broader social justice space — we’ve got to be better than that.

Check it before you share it. Even when it confirms your worldview.

Because the quickest way to lose credibility is to push som**hing that isn’t real.

Don’t take the bait. This might seem like a c**t of an experiment on our behalf but it’s all about the journey, be honest, who fell for it?

EPISODE 67 – OUT NOW 🔥

This week in the shed… we go straight at it.

War… or “not war”?
Propaganda, AI bu****it, and the same old playbook rolled out again.
Middle East intervention, history repeating, and who actually pays the price.

We break it down the only way we know how:
👉 No spin
👉 No sugar-coating
👉 Just working-class perspective

From “Operation Epic Fury” to the patterns behind it, we’re asking the question no one in mainstream media will touch:

Who actually benefits from all this?

Because while the suits argue semantics, it’s workers—here and overseas—who cop it.

🎙️ IN THE SHED – EPISODE 66
This week Mick and Chris dive head-first into one of the biggest questions facing democracy right now:

Who actually holds power — and who gets silenced?

In Episode 66 we unpack:

⚖️ The new hate speech laws and what they could mean for free speech
🇮🇱 The politics surrounding criticism of Israel and Zionism
🚨 The growing use of “social cohesion” as a political weapon
📺 How media narratives shape what people think is important
🗳️ The rise of Pauline Hanson–style populism
💰 Why the real divide isn’t left vs right… it’s top vs bottom
🕵️ And what the Epstein files reveal about elite power and accountability

As always, nothing is off limits in the shed.

If you’re sick of the culture war distractions and want to talk about who’s really running the show, this one’s for you.

Let’s play w**k word bingo!

Side note though, don’t all the stupid culture war things sound even more ridiculous like this?
