How can we move from talking about youth to designing with them?

This webinar will spotlight youth-led and youth-inclusive approaches to shaping TVET systems and skills policy across Africa, drawing on new research, practical experiences and collaborative initiatives.

At the heart of the session is the launch of the new Youth Voices Report, developed under the Africa Skills Revolution by Humana People to People in collaboration with AUDA-NEPAD. The report captures the motivations, challenges and aspirations of young people in TVET, and calls for their meaningful participation in policymaking.

The discussion will also feature the Meaningful Youth Engagement in TVET initiative, led by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with AUDA-NEPAD. This effort focuses on equipping institutions with practical tools to strengthen youth engagement in TVET systems, positioning young people as active contributors in shaping skills ecosystems.

• Present key findings from the Youth Voices Report
• Highlight youth-led curriculum reform in Zimbabwe
• Introduce a practical approach to strengthening youth engagement in TVET systems
• Feature reflections from young people, practitioners and policy stakeholders

New footage reveals Mount Apo's indigenous forest guards as they confront illegal operations with nothing but their voices, exposing a conservation system that relies on environmental defenders risking their lives for P3,500 ($62) a month.
