No one loses anyone, because no one owns anyone. That is the true experience of freedom: having the most important thing in the world without owning it

Paulo Coelho, Eleven Minutes

Lie: We'd both wake up to the morning sun and the cold air caressing our arms and legs as we lie entangled in our thick, white blankets. You'd roll over and pull me close to you. I'd laugh in surprise and give you a light shove but I'd still sidle up to you and give you a small, lingering peck on your cheek. You'd smile and whisper 'I love you', I'd then look deep into your eyes and kiss you, 'I know'.

And maybe i'll look for you in every person i chance upon or read about. It wouldn't even matter. All these efforts to see you in familiar routes and places, it would never matter. For I begged you so hard the last time I saw you, to stay. An open door, a blurry scene and the all too familiar unnerving pain; you left me with a tear stained face and it all boiled down to me, whispering your name before I said 'please stay'.

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art…. It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.”
— C.S. Lewis

“The Devil is real.
And he’s not a little red man with horns and a tail. He can be beautiful. Because he’s a fallen angel, and he used to be God’s favorite.”
— American Horror Story, Murder House

“It felt good for once. To not feel my heart jump when I saw your name show up in my messages. I think it means I’m starting to move on now, and I am. He’s a lot nicer to me than you ever were. Everyday he tells me I’m perfect and says “you are the most beautiful thing on this earth” and I can’t tell you how amazing it is to hear those things come from his lips. Not because it feels good to have somebody say it, but it feels good to have him say it to me instead of you. With him, I know he means it. I believe it because we’re always honest with each other. There are no secrets. You were full of lies, and it got to the point where I didn’t even know if our relationship was real or some figment of my imagination. You were always so perfectly charming, but he’s awkward, funny, kind, generous, and smart. I’ve learned since you, that it’s a bad sign when a guy is so perfect and charming like you. It means that they have had more practice using those lines in the past. So no, this time I will not reply to your message.I refuse to allow you to have the power to use me. I’ve put up with your manipulative behaviour long enough and I know I deserve better. I do not deserve to be brainwashed by you to transform into somebody that is completely different than my true self. I refuse to allow you to control me. My true self is so much greater than the person you wanted me to be. I am a strong, beautiful, intelligent, kind, and powerful person. You. Do. Not. Control. Me.”
— And I’m disappointed that it took me so long to see this.

“Not to sound like a jerk, but Jane isn't really my type. Her hair's kinda disastrously curly and she mostly hangs out with guys. My type's a little girlier. And honestly, I don't even like my type of girl that much, let alone other types. Not that I'm asexual or something - I just find Romance Drama unbearable.”
― John Green, Will Grayson, Will Grayson
