Jammu, October 17, 2025:
In a remarkable gesture of support towards education and community welfare, MLA Kishtwar Ms. Shagun Parihar today chaired the Annual Day function of Adarsh Balniketan High School, Kishtwar, and announced a donation of ₹22.76 lakh for the development and modernization of the institution.

The entire amount—comprising ₹12.76 lakh raised through public donations and ₹10 lakh from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF)—was mobilized through the personal efforts and initiative of Ms. Parihar, reflecting her deep commitment to strengthening the educational infrastructure in Kishtwar.

Adarsh Balniketan High School, a public-run charitable institution, has been serving the community for decades by providing free and affordable education to students from economically weaker families. The school stands as a symbol of collective community effort and dedication to social upliftment.

The newly collected funds will be utilized for upgrading classrooms, enhancing learning facilities, and developing modern educational infrastructure to benefit hundreds of students who depend on the institution for their education.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Shagun Parihar praised the school’s long-standing service to society and emphasized her continued support for institutions that empower underprivileged children through education. She also commended the staff and management for their tireless dedication and community involvement.

The Annual Day celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents, and local dignitaries. Cultural performances, awards, and heartfelt tributes to the school’s founders marked the event as a historic day of pride, gratitude, and renewed inspiration for the entire Adarsh Balniketan family.
