Tanna Marie From burnout to barefoot in the garden…
Something new is brewing, stay tuned. Ephesians 4:29 Social media content creation is my thing.

Mental health awareness is also my thing, especially in the workplace.

I know, I know... this account’s been anything but consistent , it’s been through more phases than my toddler at bedtime.

It started as a photography page.
Then it became a business page.
And after trying to fit in with the mom scene that looked good on Pinterest and all the influencers (but didn’t feel like me), I finally just stopped posting.

Not because I didn’t care.
But because I was chasing someone else’s version of “doing it right.”

Because pretending to have a perfect life?
That was exhausting.

But the moment I came back to the turquoise, to the dirt, to the backyard chaos and the boys I love? everything started blooming again.

Now? I’m just here as me.
A Southern rooted, slightly-crunchy mama growing basil and cilantro in a greenhouse her husband bought her (that happens to face the Mississippi), raising boys with wild hearts and even wilder spirits, who eat yogurt like it’s a contact sport.
(Which, let’s be honest, with a toddler, it kind of is. 🤣)

Coming back to my roots, my boots, my flour, my faith, and a backyard garden?
That’s the kind of magic that sticks like beach sand.

This greenhouse my husband built me? I thought it was just a structure.
Turns out, it became my sanctuary.

So no, I’m not polished. But I’m planted, and I’m growing.

And mama… I’m back.

Let’s grow something real. 🌱

I want to preface this with something. If you want to shop sales, that’s totally fine and up to you. I also wanted to let you know that if you’re the kind of mom that feels pressured to buy stuff just cause you think it’s a good deal, don’t. I see deals all the time that’s just as good or better than prime days, so don’t feel like you have to participate just cause everyone else is. Just my tip for the week.
🫶🏻❤️✌🏻
Another thing to remember when shopping local, a lot of small businesses can’t afford to offer huge discounts on their items because they aren’t a huge corporation that makes millions. Also, to all my local small businesses, don’t feel pressured to discount your items that you worked hard on making handmade, put a lot of work into designing, or weren’t able to have a warehouse full of things to sale. Your ideal clients/ customers will see your value and support you no matter what.

Who says your fresh start has to begin on January 1st? This year, our family faced an unexpected curveball—pneumonia took us down, even our baby. But if there’s one thing motherhood has taught me, it’s that it’s never too late to start again.
🙌
So here I am, stepping into my new year now - grateful, recharged, and determined to make 2025 my year of grace, faith, and family focus. Whether you're resetting, regrouping, or just catching your breath, know this: the calendar doesn’t define your timeline. Every day is a chance to start fresh.
🥰
Here’s to honoring our own pace, starting late, starting over, or starting scared. Your timeline is yours, and it’s always the right time to begin again. Just Start, Don't give up.

📸: Sharing these dreamy New Year’s photos because the vibes still give fresh start energy.

Yes!!!

Yes!!!

Real talk: Sometimes, focusing on your purpose requires pivoting.

More often than not, the initial way you envisioned achieving your purpose isn't the way it pans out. And listen, that's ok…

Because here's the thing: Your purpose is about WHY you do what you do, not just HOW you get there.

When you face challenges, be willing to change your approach while staying true to your purpose.

Lemme know in the comments if you've made pivots in your business and you're glad you did.

What she said 😍

What she said 😍

As a child, when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I simply copied what other kids said. I lived in a blue-collar neighborhood, so most responses related to what our parents did.

Responses were varied from truck drivers to secretaries to gardeners.

I lived in a neighborhood where aspirations were limited to what we saw, not to what we dreamed.

Years later I still struggle with dreaming.

On the most daring mornings, I dream of simply making what I have into more. But where is the courage in more of the same? Where is the magic in safety?

When I started my first business, I dreamed of working from home and being a photographer. That was my entire dream.

While they are perfectly fine aspirations, I didn’t have the audacity to dream of working with my husband in a home we own, traveling together, being one of the top photographers in the world, and being a business strategist for other entrepreneurs.

I couldn’t dare to dream that big. Who was I to dream with such incredulity?

I now realized I asked the wrong question. What I should’ve asked was: Who am I NOT to audaciously dream?

No one will give me the permission to aspire for more than what is available to me, so I must grant it to myself. And you must do the same.

Who are you NOT to dream so big it scares you?
Who are you NOT to dare to pursue curiosity?
Who are you NOT to say you are worth investing in?

It’s okay to dream big. In fact, I hope you do. The world needs a gift only you can give.

Love,
Jasmine
