It is a common challenge that some of us encounter in the field.
So let's do justice to this today. Timer is an electromechanical switch that help us operate our load over a desired period of time.
How do we connect this, first let's understand how timer work. Timer on discussion here has 8 pins.
Pin 2&7 is the coil terminal. This energize the coil to make or break the NC or no contact so connect your neutral to 2 and 7 will be live.
Pin 8 is common for nc and no contact.
So loop your live wire with 8.
For your alarm it's best to pick your output from pin 5 and 2 else you can pick it 6 etc. If you want to understand the time range of timer I can explain it too.
