Football Schedule Update:
Full schedules for the 2025 football season were announced today. With South Tama now in Class 2A, the regular season will be eight weeks instead of nine. That means STC will have three non-district games instead of four like they have in recent years when they were in Class 3A.

Non-district opponents for 2025 and 2026 will be Louisa-Muscatine, Union and Vinton-Shellsburg. Home and away locations were also announced. Locations will flip in 2026.

2025 and 2026 football district groups have been announced.

South Tama will compete for the next two years in Class 2A with Albia, Centerville, Davis County, PCM and Pella Christian. Non-district opponents have not yet been announced.

South Tama's boys wrestling post season begins this Saturday as the Trojans head to Benton for the Class 2A District #2 wrestling tournament. Due to winter weather concerns, the start time for the meet has been moved to 12:00 p.m. The top two finishers from Saturday's tournament will advance to the State Tournament in Des Moines on Feb. 19-22. If you can't be there in person Saturday, we'll have full coverage of the district meet on Hudl Fan beginning at 12:00.

It is also Senior Night for the boys basketball team and the STC Pep Band. The boys will tip off first at 6:30, followed by the girls around 7:45. The Road to Coralville goes through Tama this year as South Tama hosts one of eight regional state-qualifying meets for the IGHSAU Class 2A girls wrestling postseason. If you can't be there in person, we'll have live coverage on Trojan Country beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Hudl. The top two finishers in each weight class will advance on to the 2025 State Wrestling tournament on February 6 and 7 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
