Hello Everyone - This is Darvin Graham with Trojan Country. I'm writing this as a goodbye message, of sorts. This summer, Allison and I moved from Toledo to a new home in Prairie City. The move brought us closer to work and to family. In a few weeks, I'll be starting as a school counselor at Knoxville schools.
Because of the distance, I will not be able to continue with Trojan Country broadcasts.
Does this mean there won't be any more South Tama livestreams?
No. South Tama still has its Hudl channel that will offer live video of its home games. This would be without any of the play-by-play announcing, Pre-Game Shows or player interviews that we put together as part of the Trojan Country broadcasts. I'm grateful for the opportunity to call South Tama games and to help bring the game day experience out to people who couldn't be there in-person. Sports broadcasting is a lot of fun. It's also very much a "team sport." I'd like to acknowledge and say thank you to all of those that made Trojan Country what it is.
Thank you to Allison and Anita for being my biggest supporters and encouragers. Our family got to "do South Tama sports media" for a good bit of time. First Charley and Anita, then Allison, then me. There have been countless moments where I've stepped back and thought, "Man, I wish Charley could have seen this." He would have been thrilled to celebrate the state championships or the come-from-behind wins. And he would have offered patience and levity through the tougher, more challenging times.
Thank you to my broadcast partners who lent their time and expertise as co-announcers. Particularly Jeff Bayer (the best in the business, you don't even know), George Kuhter, Nate Van D**e and Scott Bolen.
Thank you to Chelsea Ahrens, Steve Bearden, and South Tama schools for their help in coordinating logistics, information and all the behind-the-scenes things on game days.

You helped pay for mobile internet so we could go live next to a corn field in Van Horne or from a golf course in Clear Lake. You helped make all this happen and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. If it weren't for Cat, Doug, Jeff and everyone else at 95.5 KZAT (and later with GetLocalSports/Net Classic Hits online), there probably wouldn't be Trojan Country.
And thank you to you...all of the family members, community members, alumni, and Trojan fans for tuning in and following along.
